Start with the end in mind
"We are not raising children, we are raising adults."

Partnering with parents to impact the next generation for Christ.
Next Generation
We all want children who grow up and become strong, compassionate, responsible adults - adults with a faith that inspires, shares, and gives life. Unfortunately, good intentions are not enough. You need a plan and a partner. You need to start with the end in mind.
The Next Generation Ministries of 12Stone ("Next Gen") want to be a part of your journey in encouraging children to worship early and grow to express their own faith as young adults. Engaging children means meeting them "where they are" in life and intentionally designing environments and experiences that help them understand about God, themselves and their role in the bigger story.
So where do we begin? At the beginning.
Just as there are physical milestones in your child's development (learning to walk, talk, go to school) there are spiritual milestones that mark your child's faith journey. These are significant moments in the life of a family when faith is shared between a parent and child through an opportunity at 12Stone.
Everything we do as staff, mentors, small group leaders and volunteers is purposeful and by partnering with you, we desire to walk your child through each step, each milestone in their journey to the full life Jesus spoke of in John 10:10.
Each year graduating seniors are honored with an overnight trip to a mystery location for a time of reflection, looking forward to the road ahead, and thankfulness for our families and our God.
The nursery is often the first place a baby is cared for outside the home. We know how important it is for you to trust that your child is in good hands. That is why you can expect your infant will be cared for in a clean and safe environment by loving and capable volunteers.

In preschool, there are three main truths we would like each child to learn: God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever. These truths come alive through age appropriate Biblical stories, hands-on activities, crafts and songs. Each of these is presented with the learning style of your child in mind.

Throughout their time in Grade School, your child will learn to apply the following three truths:
- I need to put God furst no matter what.
- I need to treat others the way I want to be treated.
- I need to make the wise choice.

Middle schoolers are curious. They wonder, they imagine, they question. What else is new? But sometimes the curious questions have a heartfelt core. What does Jesus have to do with me? Is the Bible really important? 12Stone's MSM focus is to genuinely listen and care for the hearts and minds of 6th-8th graders - to make them feel known and accepted in a place where answers can be found.

Life can get busy in High School. The never-ending list of activities can frustrate and overwhelm kids leaving them to wonder "what's the point?" That's why we put the faith journey on the list of things that really matter. Students need to know they were created for a reason and God has a plan for their life.
