It is our desire to parallel and support the Christian values you are teaching them at home. The big idea we hope to convey during this time is that character matters-both the character of God and our own. Children at this age learn that God is good, unchanging and can be trusted. This becomes foundational to how they view and respond to the world around them
Grade School
Core Concepts
Throughout their time in Grade School, your child will learn to apply the following three truths:
- I need to put God first no matter what.
- I need to treat others the way I want to be treated.
- I need to make the wise choice.
Environments
Stage 12 has two environments. Stuido A is specially designed for 2nd through 5th graders while Studio B hosts Kindergarten and 1st graders. Your child will be greeted by a small group leader who will help them settle in for a variety of "preshow" activities. This time helps prepare children for what they will learn in the large group worship. Games, activities, and discussion questions are used to engage children in the group, introduce them to new friends, and focus their attention for the learning ahead.
Parent Involvement
As you pick your child up from Stage 12 you will receive a God-Time Card which includes four opportunities for your family to take the lesson deeper throughout the week in family devotions.
Stage 12 Studios
A virtue is a way that God interacts with us and in turn how we should interact with the world around us. Each month at Stage 12, your child will explore a different virtue that is foundational to Christ-centered living.
Dynamic storytellers communicate the timeless truths of God's word during a large group worship experience including prayer, drama, video and music.
Children will then engage in a small group environment where life-application is central. Using discussion, crafts, activities and games, your child's small group leader will help them unpack what they have just learned in large group teaching and apply it to their own lives.
